The Story of KIHO
The Legacy
A Tribute to Kiho Park
KIHO is a tribute to my grandmother, Kiho Park (1932–2020), who raised me and shaped how I see the world.
Our home was always filled with life—from delicate flowers to exotic plants and home-grown vegetables. Through her, I learned to appreciate nature not as something separate, but as something to live with.
She had a gift for creating beauty with her hands, from intricate crafts to the simplest household essentials. Even in her later years, that instinct remained. KIHO is my way of honoring her legacy—carrying forward what she lived by: a love and respect for nature, an appreciation for craftsmanship, and the belief that beauty is found in the everyday.
KIHO continues the legacy of Kiho Park, a quiet devotion to nature, craftsmanship, and the art of living well.
The Ritual
Beyond the Scent
A candle is more than a product, it’s a ritual.
A quiet moment at the beginning or end of the day. A way to shift the atmosphere, slow down, and settle into the space around you.
What we choose to burn, the air we live with, the things we bring into our space—these details matter.
It began with a clear intention to create something for everyday living, made with considered ingredients and a more conscious way of making.
At KIHO, each scent is created to be lived with, not just experienced.
Subtle, balanced, and designed to be part of your everyday rhythm.
KIHO began with a desire for a more intentional way of living with scent.
The Curator
Hailey Kim
Hailey Kim is an art director based in New York City, with experience in advertising and independent fashion editorial.
She studied at Idyllwild Arts Academy, where she explored a wide range of artistic disciplines. While she was naturally drawn to working with her hands, she became equally interested in how art communicates—leading her to study Advertising at the School of Visual Arts in New York City, later working as an art director.
In 2020, following the passing of her grandmother, she began to rethink her everyday life—more intentionally, closer to what matters. This shift led her back to making by hand, returning to what felt most natural and grounded in what she had always loved.
Scent, something she had always lived with, became the starting point. KIHO grew from this process, bringing together her way of seeing, her connection to nature, and a desire to create objects designed to be lived with.
Fragrance, form, and ritual—
designed to be lived with.
